Control of Eurasian watermilfoil or flowering rush on a partial-lake basis to reduce interference with recreation
This grant program makes funds available for the control of dense or matted Eurasian watermilfoil or flowering rush in areas where they interfere with use by the general public. Control must be done in areas where the plants interfere with recreation, or near public water accesses. Control is usually done by use of herbicides or mechanical harvesting. These grant funds cannot be used for control work immediately adjacent to a private individuals' shoreline. In order to be eligible for this grant program a lake must have at least one public boat launch. |
