Early Detection and Rapid Response for Eurasian watermilfoil or Flowering rush

The purpose of this grant program is to aggressively treat small newly discovered populations of Eurasian watermilfoil or flowering rush in an attempt to prevent spread within the lake. Treatments are done using either herbicide or mechanical control. These projects are done on lakes with at least one public boat launch where Eurasian watermilfoil or flowering rush was discovered within the previous five years and where these plants still have a limited distribution.
