Douglas County Lakes Association Public Awareness for AIS


The Douglas County Lakes Association printed 500 placemats and distributed to 55 local restaurants. They Printed 1750 table tents that were placed in area bars and restaurants. They Particpated in Fleet Farm Kid's fishing day and talked families about aquatic invasive species. They prepared and recorded a 30 section Stop Aquatic Hitchhikers public service announcement, which ran 230 times on local radio stations from July through October 4th. They attached Stop Aquatic Hitchhiker signs to 40 lake name signs on county roads. They contributed to cost of a billboard placed on I94 by Wildlife Forever.
