Pelican Lake Association Public Awareness Efforts
Description1. The Pelican Lakes Assocation created a brochure that includes a map of Pelican Lake for fishing and navigation with information about controlling the spread of invasive species. We will model this after a successful Hubbard County brochure and work with area businesses to sponsor and distribute it to visitors. RESULT: PLA did change the approach several times, but eventually ended with a partnership between Walleye Dan and Fleet Farm to produce a nice brochure to be shared with area visitors. 2. They organized and publicized lake professionals trainings.
