Lake Elmo: NRA & Mgmt Plan for Sunfish Lake Park

Sunfish Lake Park is a 284 acre passive park that has been impacted by urban development. The largely southern dry mesic oak forest shows an increase in invasive species and the lack of dominant trees with open growth characteristics suggests the absence of fire for some time. The natural resources management plan developed with the grant will help the city to better manage the park now that a sampling inventory has been completed.
