Rosenau-Lambrecht WMA Prairie Enhancement
DescriptionThis area is located in the prairie pothole region of SW Minnesota. This WMA has a high quality depressional wetland, but the upland is dominated by smooth brome grass and scattered Eastern red cedar trees. The wetland complex will be enhanced by converting the virtual monoculture of brome grass to a high quality native grass, forb and sedge mixture to complement the adjacent wetland. This will enhance the habitat for waterfowl, grassland birds, including pheasants, and native pollinators.
