2010 PF - HE Burning Projects

Description

Grant funds will be used to contract prescribed burning on DNR Area Manager approved WMA sites (see initial approved site list attached). In areas where the WMA land base is such that current DNR staff are unable to manage WMA’s optimally with fire, Pheasants Forever will contract with private providers of prescribed fire services to accelerate management on our WMA’s. All sites will be approved by the DNR Area Manager and contractors will be required to consult with DNR area staff to discuss goals, management objectives and burn plan.
