2010 DU - Shallow Lake Bioengineering
At the request of multiple DNR Area Wildlife Managers (AWM), Ducks Unlimited (DU) proposes to provide wetland bio-engineering expertise and technical assistance to Minnesota DNR to conduct extensive engineering feasibility studies and preliminary designs for five water control structures for shallow lakes and wetlands on five WMAs or public water shallow lakes on which DNR owns WMAs. DU will survey each site to determine feasibility for each enhancement or restoration project, and will fully design each feasible project and provide engineering plans and specifications with a full engineer’s design report and cost estimate for consideration by each AWM. DU will coordinate reviews with AWMs and staff, other agencies, & private landowners.
