Meeker County WPA Enhancements

Description

This project addresses the limiting factor for pheasants and other game and non-game grassland species: quality nesting and brood rearing cover. Grove and scattered tree removal will significantly enhance the grassland complex on Harvey & Casey WPAs and maximize production of pheasant, waterfowl and other wildlife. Trees from remnant groves will be cut, dug out, piled and burned/buried. Where applicable the areas will be reseeded to a native grass mix. We will also remove and chemical treat scattered volunteer trees.
