Farmstead Conversion to Habitat
DescriptionThree Building Sites have been acquired in the center of two Waterfowl Production Areas and Hamden Slough National Wildlife Refuge. The USFWS wants to remove the invasive trees, old farm buildings, debris and wells, and restore prairie and wetlands. Parking Areas will also be developed for public access to these sites for hunting and the other five big six uses permitted on NWRS land.
