Description

Prairie sage is widespread in North America, primarily in prairies and grasslands. It grows on well-drained, sandy or loamy soils. Once established, it spreads readily by rhizomes. Its whitish foliage is great in prairie plantings. This is not culinary sage (Mint Family). Prairie sage is valued for the aroma of smoldering leaves.
